Passionate about small business
Computer Troubleshooters focuses on providing technology solutions to small businesses that have between 2-35 employees. Why is this our ideal customer?

It’s a fact that small businesses drive the economy. Statistics from the Small Business Administration (SBA) in the US shows that small businesses create new jobs and make up more than 99.7% of all firms in the US. The SBA also reports that small businesses create 60-80 percent of net new jobs in the US.

Given that small businesses are the backbone of most global economies, Computer Troubleshooters is proud to provide them with solutions to help them with their technology challenges. Many of our franchisees have corporate backgrounds and delight adopting, adapting and applying the lessons learn in big business so that the small business market can benefit from them. They also appreciate that small business does not have a large corporate I.T. department budget!

From Australian beginnings
Founders Wilson and Suzanne McOrist began developing the Computer Troubleshooters concept in Australia in 1996, after seeing a growing frustration amongst business owners looking for affordable, quality computer support services. They called on their experiences with their successful previous franchise, Express Bookkeeping, which had grown to over 200 locations in Australia and New Zealand. In 1997, their first franchisee started in Australia.

Back in 1992, Chip Reaves started a company called CHIPTECH computer services in Atlanta, Georgia, which grew into one of the largest small business computer services businesses in the state. In 1999, Chip entered into a partnership with the McOrists by opening Computer Troubleshooters, USA.
Between 1999 and 2006, Chip Reaves and the McOrists grew Computer Troubleshooters to a thriving franchise, growing its presence internationally, with over 450 locations in more than 24 countries.
In January 2008, the McOrists sold their company to Merry Meeting, Inc. Merrymeeting, Inc. (MMI) was founded in 2001 by CEO John Davies and IVM NV, a Netherlands based private equity investment firm. MMI is focused on buying and developing franchise operations. Visit http://www.merrymtg.com to learn more.
Then in February 2008, Chip Reaves and Merry Meeting, Inc. merged the two companies to form Computer Troubleshooters Global, LLC.

This strong foundation is enhanced by a network of national directors and regional directors throughout our global network, delivering local service and support to our franchisees.
